‘These new works have come from my love of seventies and eighties fashion photography; the soft focus of David Hamilton, the edginess of Helmut Newton and Cheyco Leidmann… Photographers that have been inspiring my work for years and years. I have attempted to capture that feeling when you open an old vintage magazine, the grain, the print quality and colour – it takes me back to my childhood!

I have been working with silhouettes for many years and these images represent a new direction in my work, a softer silhouette with an enticing hint of form.
